For starters a little introduction might be in place! An Instax camera is a manual camera (non digital) that uses film. Similar to the brand Polaroid the Instax develops the film instantly and you get the picture in you hand right away after taking the picture. The Instax Mini develops pictures in the size of a business card while the original Instax uses film twice the size.

This camera uses flash. It has five different flash settings. The flash will always go off, you can not turn it off so you have to remember to use the proper flash mode for all your pictures.
When you point your camera the flash indicator will suggest the optional setting based on the light. Turn the wheel with the dot in front of the little lamps and place it in front of the one that glows red. The fifth flash setting is an extra mode for hi-key flash.

But if you shoot from a distance of say 40 cm it will still improve the blurriness, so always use it for close ups! It's a bit of a trial and error thing, but eventually you'll figure it out. The more you use it the better you get to know it!For selfies remember that your arm is quite long so don't stretch your arm to the full length if you want a sharp picture with the close up lens. I made this mistake a lot in the beginning.
